Priyanka Chopra grew up the daughter of two doctors, her father traveling frequently to provide medical services in the army both in Asia and in America, which was cause for her living in many cities and attending many schools while growing up. Priyanka Chopra modeled since very young, even while attending school, and she graduated with her degree in architecture. She became one of three Indian women to win acclaimed modeling titles in the year 2000, winning Miss Indian World and Miss World in those years. Her successful modeling career is what catapulted her into stardom with her movie career.
